Care: How do I care for my hand embroidered items?
We do our very best to make sure your item is built to last. However, hand embroidery can be delicate so we recommend washing your items on a cold cycle and hanging to dry.
Processing and Shipping: How long will it take to receive my item(s)?
Most items are made to order. Hand embroidery does take time, but expect your item to ship within 1-2 weeks. We will let you know if we anticipate any delays in processing. Please reach out before ordering if you need your item by a certain date– we will do our best to accommodate requests.
All items are shipped via USPS. Expediated shipping options are available at checkout.
Returns and Exchanges: Can I return or exchange my item?
We hope that you love your hand stitched item but we get it, sometimes things don’t work out. You may request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your product by emailing hello@stitchthejoy.com. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Once your return is received, refunds will be processed within 2-3 business days.
Custom items can not be returned or exchanged.
Returns and exchanges must be clean, unwashed, and unworn.
Wholesale: How can I carry Stitch the Joy in my shop?
Stitch the Joy offers wholesale of DIY items including Embroidery Kits and Stick & Stitch packs via Faire at stitchthejoy.faire.com. New to Faire? You’ll get $200 off your first order, plus free shipping with us for an entire year.
Interested in wholesale apparel or accessories? Stitch the Joy is only able to offer wholesale items for a limited number of shops at a time. Wholesale customers may choose their quantity, shirt style, sayings, and other customization options. Wholesale orders take time to create and we require at least 30 days to stitch after order details are confirmed. Please email us at hello@stitchthejoy.com for current availability and to receive a copy of our line sheet.

Customization: Can I get a design stitched on a different shirt? How about in a different color or location?
Items are made to order, so feel free to get specific. Reach out if you want one of our products stitched on a different shirt or sweatshirt. Note that price differences may apply. Want your item stitched in a different thread color or location on the item? Just make a note at checkout.

Send Your Own: Can I send you my own item to embroider?
We all have a favorite item that would look better with a little hand embroidered detail. Maybe this is your favorite sweatshirt, handkerchief, or blanket for a new baby? You can ship your item directly or from your favorite retailer (at buyer’s cost) for hand embroidery. Design and word options are available.
Please reach out beforehand and provide a description of what you want stitched as prices vary based on complexity and details. In many cases, the number of characters is not the only consideration in pricing when you send your own item.
